Outdoor GreatRoom 60" See-Through Ready-to-Finish Gas Fireplace

Two rooms, one fire. The Outdoor GreatRoom Company's 60" Ready-to-Finish See-Through fireplace is built around the BI757 Crystal Fire Plus burner — a 100,000 BTU direct spark ignition unit housed in a #304 stainless steel enclosure — and delivers a 60" wide by 20" tall flame view from both sides of a shared wall. At 92" wide overall and 18.5" deep, it's engineered to be set into a finished surround of your choosing, not shipped with a look already decided for you.

The structural bones are G90 marine-grade galvanized steel, the kind of material spec that signals this unit is built for longevity in environments that aren't always gentle. The finishing substrate is Hardiebacker fiber cement board — a professional-grade backer that plays well with stone, tile, stucco, and most other cladding materials your designer or installer might specify. Whatever finish goes on the outside, the structure underneath is holding its own.

Propane supply is handled with more elegance than a tank sitting exposed on a patio. The base of the 60" model includes an access door sized to conceal a standard 20 lb propane tank, keeping the fuel source out of sight without requiring a separate enclosure. That said, hard-pipe installation is the recommended approach for a permanent setup — and the unit supports that configuration cleanly.

Electronic direct spark ignition means no standing pilot and no fumbling with a lighter. The ignition system can be powered from a standard electrical outlet, or optionally run on a battery pack (PT# CF-DSI-BP) if an outlet isn't conveniently located at the install site. For added convenience, optional timer controls are available: a 60-minute timer (PT# CF-DSI-60MT) or a 4-hour timer (PT# 4HRTC) for those who'd rather not think about shutoff. An optional standoff kit (PT# RSTL-60-SO) is also available for installations requiring additional clearance flexibility.

Forty pounds of fire media are included — enough to dress the burner bed without a separate order on day one. At 237 lbs, this isn't a casual weekend project, but it is a UL Listed, American-made fireplace that earns its place as a permanent architectural element. The natural gas variant (RSTL-60DNG) shares the same core specifications and burner for those with a gas line already in place.
