At 100,000 BTUs, the included BI757 Crystal Fire Plus burner isn't a token heat source — it means business. The fireplace opening is lined in 304 stainless steel, one of the more corrosion- and heat-resistant steel alloys available, and the enclosure boards are Hardiebacker fiber cement, a material familiar to anyone who has built for the long term. Two pre-installed 10-square-inch vents are already in place, simplifying the rough-in process.

Electronic direct spark ignition handles lighting duties cleanly, and the unit ships ready for natural gas installation with a conversion kit included. Supply pressure requirements are well-documented: minimum 6 inches W.C., maximum 10.5 inches W.C., with an ideal operating pressure of 7 inches W.C. — the kind of specificity your gas technician will appreciate.

The control setup has real flexibility. The standard low-voltage switch can be swapped for an optional 60-minute timer (PT# CF-DSI-60MT) or a 4-hour timer (PT# 4HRTC) depending on how you want to manage runtime. If running a dedicated electrical line is inconvenient, a 2D cell battery pack (PT# CF-DSI-BP) works as an alternative power source. Optional standoff kits (RSTL-60-SO) are available for specific installation configurations.
