The Outdoor GreatRoom RLFP-40DLP is a 40" single-sided, ready-to-finish linear fireplace built around the BI737DSILP Crystal Fire Plus burner — a Direct Spark Ignition linear burner rated at 80,000 BTU and constructed from #304 stainless steel. The 40" x 20" viewing area gives you a wide, low flame presentation that reads as intentional architecture rather than an afterthought patio accessory.

The enclosure itself is engineered for permanence. G90 marine-grade galvanized steel framing handles the structural load, while Hardiebacker fiber cement board lines the surround — the same board used in tile installations that need to survive moisture and heat cycles over the long haul. The fireplace opening is lined in #304 stainless steel, consistent with the burner material. Overall dimensions are 48" H x 72" W x 18.5" D, and the unit ships at 218 lbs, so plan your installation accordingly.

Fuel storage is handled cleanly: a standard 20 lb propane tank fits inside the concealed access compartment in the base, keeping your connection lines and hardware out of sight. Hard-pipe LP installation is recommended for permanent setups. Operating supply pressure runs between 8" and 14" W.C., with an ideal of 11" W.C. — details worth confirming with your installer before the first lighting.

The enclosure arrives with vents, a control panel cut-out, and glass wind guard panels already in place, which meaningfully shortens the list of things your contractor needs to source and fabricate on-site. Clearances to combustible framing are 6" on top, 1" on the sides, and 1" on the back — specific enough that your builder can frame this out without a guessing game.

Power comes from either a GFCI-protected electrical outlet or, if running conduit isn't practical, a 2D cell battery pack (PT# CF-DSI-BP, sold separately). External controls, timers, and emergency stop buttons are also sold separately, giving you flexibility to configure the controls to match the rest of your outdoor setup. Fire media — glass gems or lava rock — is not included and must be ordered separately; 30 lbs is the specified quantity for this unit.

The enclosure is compatible with overframing if you want to increase the visible structure size, and optional standoff kits (RLFP-40 SO) are available. The unit carries a UL listing and is manufactured in the USA.
