The Montigo Exemplar R620STL is built around a single defining dimension: a 73 1/4-inch-wide glass opening that spans nearly the full six-foot framing width of 92 3/4 inches. At 18 1/8 inches tall, the viewing area is deliberately cinematic — a low, wide ribbon of flame that reads as a design element from both rooms it connects, not just a heat source tucked into a wall.

The see-through configuration is a real architectural commitment, and Montigo has engineered the R620STL to support it properly. The dedicated power vent system accepts 300-Series flush exterior, vertical, or flush louvered terminations, and can run vertically through the roof, horizontally through a wall, or inline — with a minimum seven feet of pipe between the firebox and any inline power vent. That flexibility is what makes a six-foot, two-sided fireplace a viable option in situations where a simple vertical flue would be impractical.

Installation lands within a 47-inch framing height and 23 3/4-inch depth, and zero-clearance installation is fully supported. The firebox frame accepts rock or tile directly over it, so the surround finish is limited by taste, not by clearance requirements.

At 100,000 BTU/hr on liquid propane, this is a fireplace that heats a space as seriously as it decorates it. Electronic ignition is handled via HSI/SIT IPI — intermittent pilot ignition that lights on demand and doesn't waste fuel holding a standing pilot between uses. Standard media is a contemporary linear burner with Ice fireglass; optional upgrades include speckled stones, driftwood, and additional glass media for those who want something other than the default.

The venting system runs a 5-inch inner / 10-inch outer vent pipe and requires a power vent control cable between the termination point and the electrical control panel — a detail worth noting during rough-in planning. An optional Indoor Outdoor kit and remote on/off control are available for those who want to extend functionality or simplify day-to-day operation.

The R620STL is a residential unit — not rated for commercial applications — and is not offered in custom configurations. What it offers instead is a well-specified, large-format see-through fireplace with the installation flexibility to work in real-world architectural conditions, not just showroom floor plans.
