The 1800-watt M-shaped heating element spans a 252 sq. in. cooking surface (15.5" x 16.25"), and because it tilts up, cleaning it isn't the small misery it is on other designs. A removable 64 sq. in. warming rack (16" x 4") handles the finishing touches while the main event stays on the grate below.

Temperature management is handled by a digital thermometer with thermostatic control, accurate to within ±20° of your chosen setting. A meat probe is included, so you're reading the actual internal temperature of what you're cooking rather than guessing by color or intuition.
