Fire Magic Aurora A830i 46-Inch Built-In Gas and Charcoal Combo Grill

The Fire Magic Aurora A830i is a 46-inch built-in grill that refuses to pick a side — literally. With 432 square inches of gas cooking surface on the left and 396 square inches of charcoal surface on the right, it runs both fuel types simultaneously, independently, and without compromise. Total cooking surface across both sides reaches 828 square inches, with an additional 368 square inches of warming rack space split between the two zones.

The gas side is anchored by two cast 304 stainless steel E-burners at 50,000 BTU combined, joined by a 13,000 BTU rear infrared burner that powers the included heavy-duty rotisserie kit — this is the 8EAP configuration, which means the rotisserie and backburner come standard, not as an afterthought. Hot surface ignition handles startup with a flash tube as backup, so you're not fumbling with a piezo in a crosswind.

The charcoal side brings its own engineering to the table. A 26,000 BTU charcoal ignitor lights the coals without lighter fluid or ceremony, and an adjustable-height charcoal pan lets you control the distance between coals and food — the closest thing to a dial on charcoal heat. A wood feed door means you can introduce smoke wood mid-cook without lifting the hood.

Construction is 304 stainless steel throughout, including the flavor grids (16-gauge) and the quarter-inch-thick burner bodies. The double-walled hood opens a full 90 degrees with Teflon-coated spring assist, and an analog thermometer is built into the hood for at-a-glance temperature monitoring. Turn knob controls feature LED backlighting for evening sessions, and halogen interior lighting on the gas side means you're not cooking by feel after dark.
