At 42 inches wide and 1,200 CFM of combined extraction power, this Fire Magic wall-mount vent hood isn't quietly doing its job — it's making a statement about how seriously you take your outdoor kitchen. Two internal 600 CFM blowers share the workload, and a built-in thermal safety sensor monitors ambient temperature, automatically activating the fans the moment conditions reach 140°F. Your guests might not notice; your cooking environment absolutely will.

The canopy is fabricated from brushed 304 stainless steel — the same grade you'd expect from a serious culinary installation — and at 150 lbs it has the heft to match. Dimensions are 42 inches wide, 30 inches deep, and 18 inches tall, with a 10-inch transition height. Venting is fully convertible: route it vertically through the top or horizontally out the rear depending on your cabinetry and wall configuration. Either way, the ductwork goes where your build demands, not the other way around.

Control is straightforward and deliberate. On-demand rotary knobs offer high and low settings independently for both the fan and the dual halogen under-mount lamps (120V / 50-watt bulbs). There's no app required, no firmware to update, no Bluetooth to pair — just knobs that do exactly what knobs should do. Electrical requirements are 120VAC / 60Hz with a 15-amp minimum circuit and a GFCI outlet; total power consumption is 1,010 watts.

Maintenance is equally no-nonsense. The anodized aluminum grease filters pull out and go straight into the dishwasher. That's it. No degreasing rituals, no specialty solvents.

The 42-VH-7 is specifically compatible with Fire Magic A660 and E660 grill models, making it a natural fit for those builds. If your installation calls for a little extra vertical clearance, the optional 42-VH-7-02 Vent Hood Spacer adds an 8-inch extension. A dedicated duct cover (42-VH-7-DC) and a four-filter grease filter set (VH-18-4) are also available as optional accessories for a fully finished installation.
