At 39-1/4 inches wide and 37-1/4 inches tall, the Empire Tahoe DVCP36PP30N is purpose-built for peninsula installations — the kind of room-dividing fireplace that makes a living space feel intentional rather than assembled. The clean-face design strips away any visible framing around the firebox opening, so what you and your guests see is fire, full stop, from whichever of the three open sides you happen to be sitting on.

The direct vent, zero-clearance construction means this unit pulls combustion air from outside and exhausts it back out through the same coaxial vent path, keeping indoor air quality unaffected and installation flexibility high. Depth from the back of the box to the centerline of the vent runs 45-5/8 inches — a spec worth confirming against your rough-in before framing begins.

Heat output ranges from 23,000 BTU/hr at minimum to 34,000 BTU/hr at maximum (6.74 to 9.96 kWh respectively), giving you genuine control over how hard this fireplace works on any given evening. Ignition is millivolt, meaning the system operates entirely independently of household electrical power — a quiet reliability that tends to matter most on the nights when the grid does not cooperate.

Empire built the Tahoe peninsula platform with accessory compatibility in mind. The FBB14 Blower Kit integrates directly to circulate warm air more actively through the space. For the firebox interior, you have two liner paths: the DVP36PFLKR vertical fluted black liner lends a classic, dimensional texture, while the DVP36PKR porcelain black liner offers a cleaner, more reflective finish. The DVP36PRB facing kit rounds out the exterior presentation for peninsula and see-through models alike.

The millivolt ignition system and peninsula-specific engineering make this a serious specification for new construction, major renovations, or any project where the fireplace is meant to be a structural focal point of the room — visible, functional, and finished correctly — rather than an afterthought tucked into a corner.
