Where this firebox earns its "universal" designation is in its log set compatibility: it's designed to work with any vent-free log set, making it a reliable foundation whether you're building a new hearth installation or upgrading an existing one. For the interior finish, the firebox is compatible with two ceramic fiber liner options from White Mountain Hearth: the Traditional Brick liner (VBP32D2F) and the Banded Brick liner (VBP32D2E). Both are sold separately and add a convincing masonry aesthetic to the firebox chamber — the kind of detail that makes the difference between a fireplace that looks installed and one that looks intentional.
