The American Outdoor Grill L Series 24-inch Built-In is constructed entirely from 304 grade stainless steel — the same alloy you'd find in commercial kitchens — and it's manufactured right here in the USA. At 97 lbs., it has the kind of heft that tells you something before you ever turn a burner on.

Two primary burners put out a combined 64,000 BTUs across a 432 square inch (24" x 18") Diamond Sear stainless steel cooking surface. The diamond-pattern grids aren't just a visual choice — they're engineered to create defined sear marks while allowing fat to drain cleanly onto the stainless steel vaporizer panels below, where it combusts and cycles flavor back up to the food. That's a deliberate system, not an afterthought.

Ignition is electronic push-button and requires no batteries, drawing power instead from a standard 120V AC connection — the same hookup that powers the interior halogen lights, operated by a dedicated push button on the right side of the grill. If you've ever tried to load a cold grill at dusk, you'll appreciate having actual illumination over your cooking surface rather than relying on a headlamp and optimism.

Valve control runs through solid brass valves, which resist corrosion and maintain precise gas flow over years of use. This model (designated -00SP) does not include a rotisserie backburner or side burner; if a rotisserie setup is on your wish list, an optional backburner kit rated at 10,000 BTUs is available separately.

Ships configured for natural gas and includes a propane conversion kit, giving you flexibility at installation. To maintain warranty validity, any replacement parts or accessories — including valves and control components — must be RH Peterson products. Compatible parts include the 24-B-27L control panel designed for 24-inch L Series grills without back burners, as well as model-specific vaporizer panels and burners that also fit AOG 30 and 36-inch configurations.
