The 16-inch stainless steel star-shape burner, set in a black burner pan, runs on natural gas or propane and is rated between 50,000 and 60,000 BTU — enough output to make a cool evening genuinely comfortable for all eight people seated around it. Ignition is manual match-lit with a flame-sensing thermocouple for safe, reliable operation. The table accommodates a 5-gallon propane tank inside the unit itself, keeping fuel lines tidy and the overall look clean.

Decorative media options include fire glass, Fyre Gems, nuggets, creekstones, and lava rock — with the unit requiring either 40 lbs of glass media or 25 lbs of lava media as the primary display. Each option produces a noticeably different flame character, so there's genuine room to personalize the presentation to suit the space.

For those who'd rather not strike a match, the optional Fyrestarter Electronic Ignition System upgrades the table to Bluetooth-controlled ignition and includes a 6-inch glass wind guard. A separately available Large Square Glass Wind Guard (Model 8210-WG, 28 x 28 inches) is also compatible for added flame protection on breezier nights. When the fire is off, Burner Cover Model 8123 keeps the burner pan protected and the table surface usable.
