Montigo Distinction 63" Single-Sided Direct Vent Fireplace

The Montigo Distinction 63" single-sided fireplace is built around a viewing area that measures 63 inches wide by 14 inches tall — a proportionally wide, cinematic sightline that suits contemporary architecture rather than fighting it. At 50,000 BTU with a 50% turndown, this unit can hold a room or simply set a mood, adjusting output without cycling off entirely.

At the core of this fireplace is Montigo's 4th-generation concealed linear burner, designed to stay hidden behind a bed of included Ice fireglass (12 lbs, three bags) rather than competing with the flame for visual attention. The reflective ceramic black glass liner amplifies what you see, and the Neoceram high-temperature glass door with flush safety screen keeps the presentation clean from the outside.

The Proflame 2 IPI (Intermittent Pilot Ignition) system handles ignition efficiently — no standing pilot burning fuel around the clock. The included multi-function Proflame 2 remote controls the burner, the remote-controlled circulating fan, and the multicolor LED uplighting, all of which are included as standard in the Distinction's Full Load configuration. Battery backup is also included, so a power interruption doesn't leave the room cold or dark.

Installation uses a 5"/8" direct vent configuration with two venting ports, and the framing spec of 79 1/2" wide × 50 3/8" tall × 18" deep gives your builder or installer the numbers they need upfront. Non-combustible framing is required. The unit is certified for elevations up to 4,500 feet, which matters if your project is in the mountains and the spec sheet on most fireplaces goes suspiciously quiet on that point.

The Distinction series is also meaningfully expandable. Cool Wall Advantage heat management kits — including the HDKPD63 TV kit for mounting a television above and the HDKSD sidewall kit — are compatible accessories for installations where wall temperatures are a practical concern. Optional accessories include a WiFi phone app control module, a wall remote (EC1550), propane conversion kit, adjustable trim kits, and fluted liner options in Ash Fluted or Tuscan Fluted finishes for a different interior texture.

Available in Natural Gas or Propane (LP) configurations. NG efficiency is rated at 62.69%; LP efficiency is rated at 60.49%.
