At the heart of the ignition system sits the Proflame 2 BASIC IPI — an intermittent pilot ignition that lights on demand rather than burning a standing pilot around the clock. It's a practical detail that matters when a fireplace is meant to be lived with, not just admired at showroom walk-throughs.

The universal burner system handles both natural gas and propane without requiring a hardware swap — a propane conversion kit (GCA023) is available when needed. Venting runs through a 5"/8" direct vent system, with a maximum total vent run of 34 feet, up to 32 feet vertical and 25 feet horizontal, giving installers real-world routing flexibility across a wide range of home configurations. The unit is also convertible to 4"/7" venting, and is compatible with Duravent 5"/8" components via an adapter.

The DelRay Square is approved for outdoor room installations and is mobile home compatible — two certifications that reflect genuine engineering rigor, not marketing footnotes. Installation elevation is rated from 0 to 4,500 feet, and combustible materials can be brought right to the glass opening with the specified clearances observed (0.5" sides, 1" back, 0" floor).

Media selection is where the personality gets dialed in. The DelRay Square accommodates traditional logsets — Driftwood, Birch, and Split Oak — as well as contemporary scenes including Winter, Twilight, and Beach, plus glass media and fireglass. Note that a media system is required to complete the installation; 8 lbs. of glass media is needed if that route is chosen. Optional accessories include heat management kits, reflective liners, trim kits, remote control fans, battery backup, and micro mesh or invisimesh screens — enough to customize the finished product well beyond its out-of-the-box configuration.

The satin black painted finish is understated in the right way: it recedes so the flame takes the lead. The 115V electrical requirement (less than 12A) keeps the installation straightforward, and the 10" mantel clearance provides comfortable working room for surround design.
