At 37.5 inches tall and 23 inches in diameter, the American Fyre Designs Eclipse Fire Urn is not a background detail — it is the focal point. Cast from Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC) and finished by hand in the USA, it carries a heavy texture surface that reads as genuinely architectural, not decorative filler. Seven color options — White Aspen, Café Blanco, Black Lava, Smoke, Travertine, Dark Basalt, and Light Basalt — mean you can match a considered outdoor palette rather than settle for whatever ships fastest.

Inside the urn sits a 12-inch stainless steel star burner fabricated from 304-grade stainless, delivering 60,000 BTU of output on either natural gas or liquid propane. The manual flame sensing control system uses a thermocouple for safe, reliable operation — straightforward ignition without the complexity of electronic systems that tend to attract service calls at the worst possible moments. Propane users will appreciate the optional access door that conceals a standard 5-gallon tank directly within the base, keeping the installation clean and the propane hose out of sight. Note: natural gas configurations do not include the access door.

The Eclipse ships with everything needed to get burning: the fire urn itself, burner assembly, and either a regulator and hose assembly (LP) or a flex connector (NG), plus a user's manual. Fire media — lava granules, lava rocks, or fire glass — is required for operation and sold separately; American Fyre Designs recommends approximately 30 pounds of fire glass if that is your preferred look.

Beyond the basics, the Eclipse is compatible with the full range of American Fyre Designs accessories: wind guards, fire urn covers, and decorative media options including Lava Coals, Fire Gems, Reflective Fire Glass, Volcanic Stones, River Stones, Creekstones, Geo Shapes, and Wood Chunks. The ability to change media means the urn can shift character across seasons without requiring any structural changes.

At 150 to 170 pounds of GFRC construction (240 pounds shipping weight), this is not a piece you reposition on a whim — which is precisely the point. The Eclipse is built to stay put, withstand outdoor conditions, and look exactly as considered five years from now as it does on day one. The GFRC body carries a 3-year warranty; valves, controls, and electrical components are warranted for 1 year.
