American Fyre Designs Contempo Rectangle Firetable, 52" GFRC, Black Lava

The Contempo Rectangle Firetable is built from Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete — a material chosen for its ability to replicate the density and texture of natural stone while offering significantly better resistance to cracking and weather than standard cast concrete. The Black Lava finish gives it a raw, volcanic character that reads as both contemporary and timeless, depending on who you ask at the dinner table.

At 52 inches wide and 36 inches deep, this is a firetable designed to anchor an outdoor space rather than fill a corner of it. The 15.5-inch table height keeps the flame at an engaging sightline whether guests are seated or standing. The 230-lb GFRC body isn't going anywhere without a plan — which, for an outdoor fire feature, is exactly the point.

The centerpiece is a 24-inch linear stainless steel burner set into a 5.5-inch-deep trough, delivering 60,000 BTU on either natural gas or liquid propane. The flame profile is clean and elongated — the kind that encourages conversation rather than competing with it. Ignition is handled by a manual match-lit system with a flame-sensing thermocouple and key valve control, giving you straightforward, reliable operation without the complexity of electronic ignition systems.

Lava granules are included as base media to get you started, and the burner trough is designed for use with American Fyre Designs approved decorative media — lava rock or fyre glass, with 10 lbs recommended for optimal coverage. Natural gas models ship with a 10-ft gas hose; propane models include the 5110-26 10-ft gas hose for LP hookup.

This firetable is compatible with the Model 8117-xx series of rectangular protective covers and wind guards — a worthwhile consideration for year-round outdoor installation. Optional accessories include additional lava rock, regulator and hose kits, and a tank cover/side table designed for propane configurations.
